What is the ISTD?

The Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing is one of the world's leading dance examination boards. Its syllabus is recognised across the industry, and graded exams build technique step by step — from Primary all the way to Intermediate and beyond. When a dancer passes an ISTD exam, it isn't a token certificate; it's a genuine, respected qualification.

How do we do it?

No pressure, no drama — just brilliant preparation. Exam work is woven into our weekly Ballet, Tap and Modern classes, so by the time exam day arrives our dancers already know their work inside out. We focus on:
